
Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on the 25th of May, 1994. She retired as an American artist gymnast. She served as captain of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she received a gold medal at the team competition, making her and her co-teammate Gabby Douglas the sole Americans with back-to-back team gold medals. Raisman won silver medals for the individual all-around and floor exercise. Raisman also earned silver medals for the individual all-around and for floor exercise. She was also two-time champion of the national championships in floor exercises (2012 and 2015), and the champion of the national team in balance beam in the year 2012. She was also a five-time medalist at the all-around national championships (silver, bronze, 2010 2011 and 2012 and). In 2013, she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
