Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in the year 1980. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) - and Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American singer and actress. She is born in Polish heritage (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered a passion for the arts at a young stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before she turned 13; she later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper ads. In addition to having private lessons, she began her acting career around that time. Bell played a brief, uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a member of the Drama and Music Club of Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she took home the role of Dorothy. Bell was a student of musical theatre at the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell was a graduate in 2001, decided to leave her college studies in order to take on the role Becky on Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part has been cut out and only the credits depict her. Bell played in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
