Mary McCormack, an American actor, is known for playing the lead role in TV series like 'The West Wing, "In Plain Sight," and Loaded.' Her movie roles are Private Parts, Deep Impact, True Crime, and ?1408$. Born to a clinical therapist and an ice cream store owner, McCormack hails from a family that has no connection to the field of entertainment. When her parents separated in 1990 she attended Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut and graduated with a BA in Comparative Arts. Her career started at a young age of 12, when she performed in a stage production of an opera for Christmas titled "Amahl and the Night Visitor'. McCormack continued to appear in the theatre, and eventually landed parts on the small and the big screen. McCormack is now recognized as one of Hollywood's best performers. She has three daughters together with her husband, director/producer Michael Morris.
